小学校通級指導教室の日々をマンガで描いた第3巻。発達障害などで学校生活に困っている気持ちを抱える児童に、一人ひとりに合った改善のコツや道具を通級担当の松平彩が探っていきます。
第3巻では、新入学の小1男子に担任はADHD傾向のあることに気づきます。過去にADHD傾向のあるの児童を指導した経験のある担任は通級の活用を考えます。その中でわかったのは保育園などとの連携で学びの場がかわっても継続して支援を続けられる工夫でした。
マンガの舞台となる通級指導教室も開設から4年目を迎え巡回指導が始まります。松平彩も他校への巡回を担当します。当初は、他人事のような雰囲気が濃厚だった巡回先も旧知の先生に橋渡し役になってもらい徐々に通級への理解を深めていきます。
巡回指導先では、他の子と仲良くしたいのにそのコツがつかめない児童に少人数指導などを行います。その一方で、保護者会を通じて子どもとの接し方の改善も進めます。
【あらすじ】
特別支援教育を大学非常勤講師で教えていた松平彩は、夫の希望で移り住んだ茨城県大黒市(※)でひょんなきっかけで小学校通級指導教室の担当教諭に任命される。さまざまな困難さや学校生活を送るうえで悩みを抱えた子どもたちと担任が彩のもとを訪れる。彩は周囲の先生や児童の家庭とときにはぶつかりながらも協力の道を探り、その子にふさわしい支援策を考えてゆく。第3巻では巡回指導が始まる。
