＊菱目打ちと平目打ちの違い
穴を開けた時の穴の形です。
革の縫い合わせを行う時に事前に下穴を開けておきます。
その時に一般的な道具が菱目打ちで刃先が菱柄となっている為、糸を通した時に波打
ったようなステッチング可能です。
対して平目打ちは画像でもわかる通り真横に平たく刃が並んでます。

平目打ちであけた穴に菱目打ちの様に糸を通す事も有りですが主に革レースでかがり縫い
を行うためです。
デザイン的に美しくチャレンジする価値もありますが菱目打ちでの糸通しと違い他の道具
も揃える必要がありますので全くの初心者の方は次の機会を考えて見たほうが良いでしょう。
