This is an instant soup where the umami of seaweed comes from within the monaka (wafer).
This is a new type of Japanese-style soup that combines chewy monaka with the crisp texture of natural wakame seaweed from the Oki Islands. The monaka are baked one by one, and the natural wakame seaweed, grown in the beautiful, strong currents of the Oki Islands, is carefully harvested by fishermen using traditional methods. The seaweed is processed and prepared into soup on the same day it is harvested. This set allows you to enjoy two different flavors.
