1. Goshō four-inch white mon-ten stand
Traditional white lanterns for new Bon were mainly hanging types, but the white mon-ten stand is a miniature version of the traditional shape with a stand included. It can be freely decorated near the Buddhist altar, entrance, or living room.
If your home has a place to hang a lantern, you can also decorate it in a space-saving way without using the stand.
About LED candles
The LED candle shaped like a candle uses a button cell (CR2032).
A test battery is included, so please use it as is initially.
To replace the battery,
Open the main body cover.
Replace the battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
Attach the cover.
Follow this order.
*The switch is the ON/OFF button on the back.
The light of the lantern is a "guidepost" for loved ones
When the lantern light is turned on, a natural orange glow similar to a candle flame spills out.
The Bon season is an important event where loved ones return home once a year.
Please turn on the light during the night with the hope that they will return without hesitation.
*The string extending from the fire chamber is used to hang the lantern in a crossed position.
Product size (white mon-ten)
The base is 13 cm wide and 42 cm high, a compact size.
The lantern is designed to be placed on a stand such as on a shelf or chest, making it easy to display anywhere.
It can also be placed at the entrance or in the living room, recommended for those who cannot hang or are hesitant to hang outside.
When you are finished using it,
The white lantern (this product) is used as a marker during the new Bon and is not used in subsequent years.
Originally, lanterns were burned along with the fire for sending off the spirits, but nowadays it is often difficult, so some people cut the fire chamber part slightly to burn it together or dispose of it according to local rules without using fire.
*The candle battery light can also be used as an emergency light.
Please check the contents of the box and dispose of accordingly.
2. Spirit lamp, small size, pair
The spirit lamp, with a rotating tube, is a miniature version. Although it is a set of two, its compact size allows it to be quietly displayed near the altar shelf or side of the Buddhist altar.
The fire chamber features bright-colored flowers and a cute appearance like a bonbori lantern, with a gold chrysanthemum pattern on top, making it a striking lantern.
It can be used as a gift for home use or for those preparing for the Bon festival.
A spirit lamp is, as the name suggests, intended to be placed in front of the spirit, and can also be used as a post-funeral decoration.
It is economical because it can be used for a long time during funerals, Bon, and memorial services.
Plug-in type for easy lighting
Uses a light bulb with a plug-in. No switch, so it can be used immediately after plugging in.
Creates a festive atmosphere for the Bon festival
When the rotating tube is set and lit, it enhances the festive atmosphere of the Bon season.

4. Bon decoration set, simple type
This consolidates items often used for Bon decorations: 【makomo, okara, ox and horse set, lotus leaf】.
Okara is used on the Houroku tray during welcoming and sending-off fires.
Makomo is placed on the altar shelf for use. It is said to ward off evil spirits and is displayed as a boundary marker.
On the lotus leaf, offerings such as fruit and water balls are placed. Ox and horse are considered vehicles used to travel between the Pure Land and the present world.
Are your Bon preparations complete?
Bon is a ceremony to welcome the spirits of ancestors and loved ones who have passed away into this world. It begins with the welcoming fire ("mukaebi") and ends with the sending fire ("okuribi").
In your home, the Bon lanterns are set up as the welcoming and sending fires to honor the spirits of ancestors and deceased family members. Since it is a once-a-year event, do your best to offer a warm welcome.
