Staff Comments: The VINTAGE CUSTOM 1959 STRATOCASTER has arrived. This is a high-end model that reproduces the characteristics of 1959 while incorporating modern elements to enhance playability.
It features an extremely thin NOS (New Old Stock) flash coat lacquer finish that allows you to enjoy the aging process.
The neck is made of strong rift sawn maple and features a comfortable "1959 'C'" shape.
The fingerboard is AAA grade slab rosewood, characterized by vintage "clay dot" position markers.
It features a compound radius fingerboard, starting at a vintage style 7.25 inches in the lower positions and progressing to 9.5 inches in the higher positions.
The pickups are originally three Custom Shop Hand-Wound '59 Single-Coil Strat pickups, but the front pickup has been replaced with a new sustainer in a single-coil size that also functions as a pickup. In conjunction with the sustainer installation, the TONE pot for the front pickup has been modified to a Push/Push sustainer On/Off switch, and the TONE for the center pickup has been modified to a Push/Push sustainer mode selector.
When the sustainer is Off, it functions as a normal TONE control.
