In the previous season, Remy Scott took over as leader after the death of Lacroix, and Christine Gaines, a former Navy Intelligence officer, joined the team.
In this season, Burns returns from maternity leave, and Ray Cannon, a former New Orleans police officer, joins the team.
With a new leader and members, the team, despite initial confusion and conflicts, grows closer and works together to pursue suspects on the most wanted list across the United States, tackling difficult cases.

Episode 16 features a triple crossover, a signature technique of Dick Wolf, connecting the series:
From "FBI: International" Season 2, Episode 16, to "FBI: Most Wanted" Season 5, Episode 16, and then to this series' Episode 16.
The story begins in Rome, Italy, then moves to New York City where a terrorist plot is underway.
Three FBI teams collaborate on the investigation.
■ The cases are deeply connected to the families and pasts of the team members, involving situations such as:
- The murder of Scott’s brother, which is revealed after 25 years
- Gaines reunites with a notorious criminal from her past
- Gibson, heading to his sister’s house at midnight, is abducted while trying to help a girl he encounters

【Story】
The series follows the FBI’s Fugitive Task Force, which pursues suspects listed on the real-life Most Wanted list.
Remy Scott, who returned to New York after Lacroix’s death, leads the team, with Christine Gaines joining and Burns returning from maternity leave.
Newly added team member Ray Cannon, a former New Orleans police officer, joins the team to investigate cases such as:
- The murder of a family of four at a motel
- A bombing targeting a tax official
- A jewel store robbery connected to Gaines’ past
- A girl’s kidnapping involving Gibson
In Episode 16, the team conducts a second joint investigation with the FBI International Fugitive Task Force’s "Fly Team" and the FBI New York Field Office’s "Special Investigations Unit."
