The critically acclaimed 3rd album from 2019! Faye Webster is a singer-songwriter based in Atlanta, USA. She self-released her debut album "Run & Tell" at the age of 15 in 2013. In March 2017, she released her second album "Faye Webster" on the label of Atlanta rapper Father, Awful Records, gaining attention. She then signed with Secretly Canadian. In November 2018, she released the single "Kingston."
This work, "Atlanta Millionaires Club," is her third album, released approximately two years later.
This is her first album on Secretly Canadian, co-produced by Faye Webster and Drew Vandenberg. The recording took place at Chase Park Transduction in Athens, Georgia. Faye Webster aimed to avoid a contemporary sound for the album. Meanwhile, she extensively used pedal steel in unconventional ways, avoiding falling into a bluegrass trap. While she didn't have specific artists in mind for the album's sound, Aaliyah was a major musical inspiration in terms of how to use sound.
The album's release was announced in March 2019, and the single "Room Temperature" was unveiled. In the same month, she supported Stella Donnelly on her US tour. Additionally, Father is featured on the album track "Flowers."
