Kuki Paku (Pak Kyu-Hi), who continues to shine in the classical guitar world, celebrates her 5th CD debut anniversary.
Five years have passed since her impactful CD debut in the classical world in 2010, and she is releasing her first best-of album.
This album condenses her journey over the past five years by selecting several tracks from her debut album "Sueno" (Fontec Label) and the latest album from Nippon Columbia "SAUDADE - Brazilian Guitar Collection -".
As a token of appreciation to everyone who has supported Paku so far, two new recordings are included in this best-of album. As encore pieces, there are the fan-favorite "Tango en Skai," which is also Paku’s signature piece, and an unexpected rendition of Lennon & McCartney’s "Yesterday" (arranged by Tetsuro Taki), both studio recordings.
Additionally, the first DVD includes "Catalunya Caprice," a recording documentary, and unreleased concert footage "Last Tremolo" — "Practice Piece No. 12".
The booklet reflects on the past five years and Paku’s student life in Vienna, as well as her enthusiasm for actively performing in Japan moving forward. Music critic Shiro Hamada is invited for an interview format, and comments on the pieces by Paku herself are also included, providing a close look at the "real" of artist Kuki Paku.
