通常の映像作品では尺に合わせて制作の設計を行っていきますが、本作では“映画の予告編のような映像"にするために、奈須きのこによる原案をそのまま脚本に起こした上でコンテを作成し、
その中から尺に合わせてカットを刈り込む、という制作方式が取られました。
その為に、作成されておきながら未使用になったコンテは、実際の映像の約2.5倍も存在します。
今回は、その未使用となった秘蔵のコンテを含めたオリジナルコンテ(総カット数379カット、総尺36分2秒)を完全収録。
更に、アニメの特典として付属されていた小冊子「Prototype material」の内容も一部追加と修正を行った上で再収録して、全ページフルカラーでお届けします。
