For an otaku, Tatsuji Fujinami's famous quote "Never Give Up!" is also mine, just as it is for TAO. Later, the album that paved the way for my interest in bands (i.e., TAO) was this album. TAO, a rock band that sang the theme song for "Ginga Hyōryū Vifam" produced by Sunrise Japan (known for "Mobile Suit Gundam"), released the album "FAR EAST" in 1983, which is now being reprinted in a paper jacket with high sound quality after 27 years!! "Ginga Hyōryū Vifam" (83-84) is a masterpiece robot anime that still enjoys cult popularity, inspired by the motif of Verne's "The Fifteen Little Men in the Rocket," which was conceived during the early stages of "Mobile Suit Gundam" (79-80). The debut of TAO singing the theme song TR-11 "HELLO, VIFAM" in English lyrics was the first anime song of its kind. Although it was once released as a single CD, it was soon discontinued, and it is traded at high prices on various sites. The album is also highly requested on a certain revival site’s foreign music board, ranking first. This release includes, besides the only Japanese lyric ending theme TR-12, many corporate CM songs such as TR-6 provided to QP, TR-2 for Bridgestone, and TR-13 for Pioneer, as well as all singles in the bonus tracks, making it a complete edition. Many stories say that "I studied English to translate the opening theme of Vifam," making this a must-have reissue for those in their 40s!! Also, the members of TAO later formed EUROX and scored a big hit with the theme song for "Galleon of the Metal Realm."
