Morizo Shimizu's primary requirement for a crankbait is extremely simple: "It must swim properly, even with thick line or at high retrieve speeds." Behind this seemingly simple answer lies the condensed experience of Shimizu, who competes in grueling American tournaments. Within Shimizu's phrase "swims properly" lies the highest meaning for a tournament pro: a lure that can be "truly trusted and worked relentlessly." Shimizu's statement, "I don't want other tournament anglers to use this Wild Hunch," simultaneously signifies his absolute confidence in this lure. The fact that Shimizu has continuously demonstrated astonishing catches of large bass and non-stop action on TV, videos, and in magazines since the prototype stage, and continues to do so, is the best proof that the Wild Hunch is a true, genuine shallow crankbait. Of course, it has also achieved continuous results on the American tour, becoming a driving force behind Shimizu's 3rd place finish in FLW. The "Wild Hunch," a bite-inducing crankbait.
