●〈Disc 1〉 Covers her classic hit songs composed by Tetsuji Hayashi, who built her peak period, and songs that are gaining renewed attention during the city pop boom.
●〈Disc 2〉 Includes songs written and composed by Momoko Kikuchi herself, as well as tracks from the legendary band “RAMU”.
●The CD booklet contains content full of treasured materials from the height of 80s idol era featuring Momoko Kikuchi. Includes internal documents and magazine clippings stored at her label VAP for 40 years, as well as alternate cuts of artist and jacket photos from that time.
●In October, solo performances at Billboard Live (October 5 Osaka, October 20 Yokohama), and in November, a planetarium live titled “Momoko Kikuchi LIVE in the DARK tour 2024 -Precious Starlight-” will be held at three locations: Kobe on November 30, Fukuoka on December 7, and Tokyo on December 13.

◇Artist Profile
＜Momoko Kikuchi＞
Debuted in 1984 as the heroine of the movie “Pants no Ana,” and the same year, debuted as a singer with “青春のいじわる.” Gained popularity as an idol, and in 1985, successfully performed at Nippon Budokan at the then youngest age of 17, setting a record. Her release “卒業-GRADUATION-” that year marked her first Oricon weekly chart number one, and she achieved seven consecutive weekly number ones thereafter. Since her debut as an idol singer, she has received numerous awards including the 26th Japan Record Award Newcomer Award, Japan Record Sales Award, and Elan d'Or Award Newcomer Award.
The worldview created by the composer Tetsuji Hayashi, who handled almost all her songs at that time, was quite different from typical idol songs of the 80s, but has been reevaluated recently due to the overseas-centered Japanese city pop boom. The album “OCEAN SIDE” includes the song “Blind Curve,” which has been covered abroad and attracted attention. Last year, all her songs from that era were distributed on music streaming services, and the following month, she was featured in producer/DJ Night Tempo’s popular re-edit series “Showa Groove.” Many of her songs continue to fascinate listeners worldwide.
