A sparkling soundtrack from Estonia arriving in clear autumn weather. A new album produced by John McIntyre (Tortoise, The Sea and Cake), recorded in the US, has been completed. The Japanese edition includes lyrics, translations, commentary, and a bonus track.
Formed in 1998 by students attending an art school in Estonia. They spent their student years listening to music by Sonic Youth, Stereo Lab, Wedding Present, etc., and in March 2001, they released a self-produced CDR album titled "Wonder What Its Like" only locally. That album became a topic among dedicated indie fans across Europe and in America, leading to the release of their world debut album "In Solarium" in the US and Japan. Despite being an indie release, it achieved explosive sales, and even now, many consider it one of the best shoegaze albums post-My Bloody Valentine. Subsequently, they performed live mainly in Europe, continued releases in Japan, the US, and their home country Estonia, gradually building a fan base that ranges from passionate shoegaze fans to pop fans in Japan. In 2005, they released the Japan-only企画盤 "Sailing on a Grape Fruit Lake," in 2006 their second world release "Nature Heart Software," in 2008 a split single with Ulrich Schnauss, and their third world release, the album "After Summer" produced by Norman Blake of Teenage Fanclub. They also held their eagerly awaited first concert in Japan. After a long hiatus, they released a split single with Rocketship in 2017, and their fourth worldwide release after 9 years, "Field Ceremony." Celebrating their 20th anniversary, they performed in Japan for the first time in 10 years. In 2020, their new album "Empty Parks" was completed after three years. This album was recorded in the US, produced by John McIntyre of Tortoise and The Sea and Cake. It was released as a Japanese exclusive, with a bonus track included only in the Japanese edition.
