本作は、『エルミナージュ』シリーズのゲームシステムを継承しつつ、より気軽に楽しめるように世界観やシステム面が改良された3DダンジョンRPG。日本の古代から中世にわたる幅広い文化や風俗が混在した異世界を舞台に、日本の神話や伝説に登場する妖怪と、人間をはじめとする様々な種族のキャラクターが織り成す和風ファンタジーです。
主人公は普通の高校生。ある日、学園に現れた妖怪と戦う中で、友だちが『常世』に飛ばされ行方不明に。そこに現れた付喪神の導きで"アメノミハシラ"と縁を結び、救世主"御魂守"として常世に渡る。
※プレイヤーが選んだ方が主役となり、選ばれなかった方は囚われの身となります。
秩序を支える鏡"天照鏡"が破壊されたことにより、"現世"、"常世"、"黄泉"の3世界が崩壊。世界の危機を救うため、そして囚われた友人を救出するため、主人公は『常世』の仲間とともにアメノミハラシの任務を遂行していきます。
