The trackball uses a gaming-grade high-performance optical sensor to detect movement, thoroughly analyzing the color and coating layer thickness of the trackball to achieve ultimate pointer tracking. It adopts a large artificial ruby with a diameter of 2.5mm for the support ball. Using only the highest quality support balls with smooth surfaces greatly improves the ball control feel. Additionally, the larger support ball size makes it less likely to be buried in dirt such as fingerprints, reducing maintenance frequency. It features 8 buttons including left/right buttons, "forward/back" buttons, a tilt wheel, and three function assignment buttons. The 8 buttons and tilt wheel support two directions, allowing a total of 10 functions to be assigned as desired. Function assignment can be changed using the free downloadable "Elecom Mouse Assistant." Pointer movement speed can be switched among three levels: 500/1000/1500 counts. Settings for each connection method can be saved. The ball can be easily removed from the hole on the back, making maintenance of the ball and internal ball receiver easy. The wireless receiver is about the size of a 1-yen coin, so it can be connected to a laptop's USB port without concern and carried around while attached. The receiver can be stored inside the mouse body, making it convenient to carry and reducing the risk of losing it. The mouse has a power switch on the back to prevent battery drain when not in use.
