It contains a high-performance lightning surge absorption element (varistor) with a maximum surge voltage of 12500V, making it effective in preventing damage to electronic devices such as computers and AV equipment caused by lightning. The maximum surge voltage of 12500V is based on JEC210/212 standards. Under IEC61000-4-5 standards, the maximum surge voltage is 4500V.
The outlets are made of heat-resistant urea resin, which is less likely to melt even in case of heat generation, helping to prevent electrical fires.
The base of the plug blades is equipped with an insulation cap, which helps prevent fires caused by tracking phenomena.
The power cord uses a double-insulated cable compliant with the Japan Wiring System Industry Association standard (JWDS0010), which helps prevent electric shock and fires caused by disconnection or damage to the insulation.
