EGRバルブとは排気ガス再循環システム（Exhaust Gas Recirculation）を制御するバルブの事です。
EGRは1970年前後にも装備されている車がありましたが、2000年代に入り燃費や熱効率を改善する目的でまた採用されるようになりました。
環境にも優しい良いパーツなのですが、不調になると燃費悪化やパワーダウンを起こします。
