高資陶苑(Takasuke pottery studio)の緑茶向け卵型急須です。
縦長の卵型の形状、柔らかい雰囲気のアイボリー色が特徴です。緑茶の緑色と、急須のアイボリー色が良く合います。
把手の角度、サイズがちょうど良いです。注ぎやすく、使い心地が良いです。蓋は胴体と隙間なく合うよう、常滑特有の擦り合わせ技法で仕上げられます。急須の内側の茶漉しも、同じ土で丁寧に作られています。
少な目のお湯で1～2人分、多めのお湯で3～4人分のお茶を淹れられます。

＊常滑焼
常滑焼は、愛知県常滑市で作られる陶器です。中世における、日本最大の窯業産地であり、皿、碗、鉢などの日用品以外にも、甕や壺などの大型陶器も多く作られました。
江戸時代末期(西暦1858年頃)から、朱泥茶器や酒器も作られました。昭和中期(西暦1962年)以降、朱泥向け電気炉の技術が確立されました。常滑の朱泥急須は、約1100℃で焼成されます。常滑泥土は1200～1300℃の高温になる薪窯より、やや低温の電気炉と相性が良い土です。
数百万年前、東海湖と呼ばれる湖の底にあった常滑地方には、朱泥、黒泥など急須向きの粒子が細かい土があります。常滑には高い成形技術や、「擦り合わせ」と呼ばれる急須の蓋と胴体を隙間なく合わせる技術など、急須作りに必要な技術が集積しています。日本最大の急須生産地です。
