80年代後半から採用されたECWCS(EXTENDED COLD WEATHER CLOTHING SYASTEM/極寒冷地用システム)です。
インナージャケットとの組み合わせで3シーズン着用できます。
フード(非収納型)にファー取り付け用のボタンのある1st.GENの後期です。
生地裏にGORE-TEX表記なし、シームテープにGORE-SEAMの表記あります。
後期すそにドローコードつきません。
両脇の下のジップ+ボタンのベンチレーション、胸元ジップ左右のベルクロの大型ポケット、ダブルジップ+スナップボタン、裏地のウエスト位置に付く、外気の侵入をガードする機能など、ミリタリーファンでなくても、スノボ、アウトドア、バイクなど多くの場面で使える、人気のアウターです。
ゴアテックスのウッドランドカモは、経年劣化で、カモフラージュの黒の部分が色落ちします。この商品も全体的に黒い部分、擦れています。ゴアテックス生地の表面に気泡の入ったような浮き（剥離？）みたいに見えますが、ECWCSゴアテックスの古着によく見られる経年劣化です。やぶれてしまうわけではないです。
右胸に黒い点シミが見られますが、この部分だけでなく、色落ちなのか、シミ、汚れなのか、区別つかないレベルで、細々あります。
フロントダブルジップの上のスライダーのみ黒いヒモ付き。左のジップ差し込み部分、テープ補強、ミシン縫い直し。
裏地、背中の部分上下に開き、ゴアテックスシェル生地裏のを確認すると、一部シームテープ剥離し切り取られています。他の部分も接着し直した跡や、若干剥離し浮いている箇所み見られます。経年劣化によるシームテープの剥離はECWCS以外でもよく見られますが、縫製部分の防水効果が落ちるだけで、外からほつれたり、縫製が外れるわけではありません。風雨の中で水がにじむ可能ありますが、気になる方は、市販のシームテープ貼り直しをおすすめします。
全体的な色落ちは、実物ウッドランドのリアルなやれです。アウトドアブランドにはない、軍放出品の味ととらえてください。
