This Budokan performance was a special show unique to that day, with CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers as the opening act. Following this, a celebration of Nile's birthday with "Happy Birthday" led to a collaboration with Nile Rodgers on two songs: "Notorious" and "Pressure Off."
Additionally, Simon personally requested filming of this performance at Budokan, and the concert included reflections on the desire to perform there and references to nuclear disarmament, with the song "Ordinary World" performed.
The encore featured "Save a Player" and "Rio," performed with an 80s nostalgia that brought a moving finale.
