A suspense film depicting murders by three women named Cissy is revived in a 4K remaster. Awarded the 41st Cannes Film Festival Award for Artistic Contribution. Peter Greenaway, a leading British artist who is active not only as a film director but also as a painter and art director, was praised by the late film critic Nagaharu Yodogawa as "the most elegant mad genius in the history of British art cinema" and by the French press as "a dandy of the film world" for his obsessive pursuit of beauty, consistent concept in each work, meticulous composition and color expression, and skillful integration of music with visuals. Among his many works, four films for which Michael Nyman, a world-renowned musician known for "The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover," "The Piano," and "Gattaca," composed the music are being released on Blu-ray. All four films are presented unedited, and "The Draughtsman's Contract" and "Drowning by Numbers" are vividly and toxically revived in 4K remaster.

[Story]
One winter night, Cissy ① encounters her husband cheating. She drowns her drunken husband in a bathtub. With the cooperation of her friend, the coroner Majeski, the incident is ruled an accidental death. But then, her daughter Cissy ②, fed up with her dull married life, drowns her husband in a rough sea. Majeski warns, "One is understandable, but two is impossible," but the rules of the game dictate that if the conditions are met, the final blow will be dealt mercilessly. The third is Cissy ③, the granddaughter of Cissy ① and niece of Cissy ②, a young swimmer. Suspicious of the series of suspicious deaths, he enters the pool with his wife, despite being unable to swim... Majeski, who is well-versed in games from ancient and modern times, his son, the morbidly curious boy Smut, and a girl who counts the stars in the night sky up to 100 while skipping rope. People are eliminated from the stage one after another...
