Kaken-sha Camellia Oil Dressing with Japanese Flavor
This Japanese-style dressing contains Awaji Island onions, rich-flavored black vinegar and apple vinegar, and uses pressed-pressing rapeseed oil and camellia oil.
Based on domestically produced soy sauce made from whole soybeans and raw sugar derived from sugarcane grown in Kikai Island, Kagoshima Prefecture, it features a tangy flavor from black vinegar and apple vinegar, complemented by dashi made from bonito flakes from Makurazaki.
Camellia oil is an oil that contains omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids.

It has a slightly spicy flavor achieved with ginger and chili peppers, creating an adult Japanese taste.
◆ Uses pressed-pressing camellia oil
The camellia oil used has a good balance of omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids. Compared to flaxseed oil and perilla oil, which contain omega-3, it is suitable for cooking with heat.
The dietary intake guideline for n-3 fatty acids (omega-3) for Japanese men aged 30-49 in 2020 is approximately 2g, and for women, 1.6g.
One tablespoon of this dressing contains about 0.3g of alpha-linolenic acid and 0.8g of oleic acid.
