The Blu-ray & DVD for the stage play "DREAM BOYS," starring Shota Watanabe of Snow Man and featuring Shintaro Morimoto of SixTONES, will be released on Wednesday, May 21st!! "DREAM BOYS" is a superb entertainment piece centered on the youth of boys pursuing their dreams, which has been performed for 20 years since its premiere in 2004.
This production, staged in October 2024 as part of the closing lineup for the Imperial Theatre in Tokyo, which closed its doors in February of this year, features Shota Watanabe reprising his role as the protagonist for the second consecutive year, following 2023. Shintaro Morimoto plays the rival role of Champ. The cast also includes Shonen Ninja, Jun Shibuki, and Ran Ootori. Koichi Domoto served as the director. The first press limited edition, which comes in a sleeve case and includes a 20-page booklet, will feature over two hours of the main stage performance footage, as well as newly filmed bonus footage starring Shota Watanabe and Shintaro Morimoto (planned). The regular edition will include making-of footage that closely follows the behind-the-scenes of the stage production (planned).
