[Synopsis]
On (14), who was living in NY, is suddenly told by his parents that he is a descendant of a Tengu and must live in seclusion, hidden from the world, for one year. He is sent to live with his brother, Moto (who he has barely met), in a secluded old house in the countryside. Initially, On is put off by Moto's unapproachable demeanor and the unfamiliar rural life. However, he gradually becomes captivated by the simple, meticulous cooking and the lifestyle of coexisting with nature. A peaceful and lively slow life unfolds with Moto's friend, Itaru Atago, another Tengu descendant, and their dog Mugi (who seems to be more than just a dog...?).
