Dokusougan E Constipation Medicine contains sennoside, which has recognized excellent efficacy, as its main ingredient. It also includes Japanese Pharmacopoeia-standardized herbal medicines, Sankirai and Kanzo. This medication is intended for individuals aged 15 and older.
It is a plant-based tablet for adults (15 years and older).
The recommended dosage is 1 to 2 tablets per dose, taken twice daily.
It helps improve constipation and related symptoms.

■Warnings (Things Not to Do)
Failure to follow these may worsen current symptoms or increase the risk of side effects.
1. Do not take other laxatives while taking this medication.
2. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take this medication, or if they do, they should avoid breastfeeding.
3. Do not take in large quantities.

■Indications and Effects
● Constipation.
● Relief of symptoms associated with constipation, including:
- Eruptions, skin roughness, loss of appetite (decreased appetite), abdominal bloating, abnormal intestinal fermentation, hemorrhoids, hot flashes, headache.

■Usage and Dosage
Adults (15 years and older): 1 to 2 tablets per dose.
Take twice daily, preferably on an empty stomach or before meals, or between meals.
Start with the minimum dose and gradually adjust based on bowel movement and condition.
(1) Strictly adhere to the prescribed usage and dosage.
(2) Do not give to children under 15 years old.

■Ingredients and Quantities
Per 4 tablets (daily dose):
- Sennoside (as Sennoside A and B): 80 mg (31 mg)
*Extracted and purified from senna. It stimulates the large intestine to promote natural bowel movements, improving loss of appetite, abdominal bloating, abnormal intestinal fermentation, hot flashes, and headache.*
- Sankiirai powder (mountain return root powder, Japanese Pharmacopoeia standard): 400 mg
*Has pus-draining and detoxifying effects on skin diseases, suppressing eruptions and skin roughness.*
- Licorice powder (Glycyrrhiza, Japanese Pharmacopoeia standard): 400 mg
*Has analgesic and soothing effects, alleviating abdominal pain and discomfort from hemorrhoids.*

Contains excipients such as crystalline cellulose, lactose, light anhydrous silicic acid, and talc.

The medication may cause urine to turn yellow-brown to reddish-brown due to sennoside, but there is no need to worry.

■Storage and Handling Precautions
(1) Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, tightly sealed.
(2) Keep out of reach of children.
(3) Do not transfer to other containers to prevent misuse or quality deterioration.
