In 2010, Kanji Ishimaru released his first solo album, "kanji ishimaru," marking his 20th anniversary, and successfully completed a concert tour for the second consecutive year. In the fall of 2011, he released his long-awaited new album after approximately a year and a half!
This time, as a new challenge, he has created a new work by overlaying his vocals onto the original sound source of film music maestro Henry Mancini, resulting in "Himawari" (credited as Kanji Ishimaru with the Henry Mancini Orchestra). The mini-album also includes "Stranger in Paradise," which was performed at the spring 2011 concert "spring with kanji ishimaru" and gained high popularity, as well as the original song "Until I Become a Nameless Star ~Song of Parting~" (Acoustic Version), showcasing Kanji Ishimaru's diverse appeal. As a video bonus, two special songs from "kanji ishimaru in concert," held at Tokyo Opera City in June 2010, are scheduled to be included on the DVD.
