18世紀末、フランスで活躍した作曲家フランソワ・ドヴィエンヌ(1759-1803)。彼の作品はほとんどが管楽器のためのもので、その中にフルート協奏曲は13曲ほど存在します。もともとはバスーン奏者でしたが20歳の置きにパリ・オペラ座管弦楽団のバスーン奏者として入団した後にフルートを始めたと言いますが、その3年後にはパリのコンセール・スピリテュエルで自作のフルート協奏曲を演奏してデビューしたという才能! 作品の中には交響曲はありませんが、オペラは12曲あり、これは当時かなりの人気を誇ったと言います。彼は指導者としても素晴らしく、1795年に創立された(もともと存在した音楽学校が改組された)パリ音楽院の学校管理者およびフルートの教授に任命されたのです。彼のフルート協奏曲はほとんどが3楽章構成となっていて(例外もあり)急-緩-急の整った形を持っています。この第1集には第1番から第4番を収録、名手パトリック・ガロワの安定した演奏でこれらの才気煥発な作品を存分に楽しむことができます。本当に爽やかなパリの風をどうぞ。
