毛利蘭や灰原哀と一緒に銭湯へ行ったコナンが、足を滑らせて転倒。気絶したコナンを、入れ墨の男・タツと、伝説の殺し屋・コンドウが車に乗せる。銭湯で極秘裏に任務を遂行 していた二人は、コナンに感づかれたと思って連れ去ったのだ。やがて目覚めたコナンは記憶喪失になっていた!!
一方、美人の香苗から浮気調査の依頼を受けた毛利小五郎は、夫の写真を見せてもらうのだが、そこに写っていたのはコンドウだった!!
記憶をなくしたコナンと、貧乏役者・桜井や殺し屋・コンドウ達が繰り広げる予測不可能な事件の結末は、いったいどこに着地するのか!?
脚本は、映画『鍵泥棒のメソッド』の監督・脚本の内田けんじで、『アガサ・クリスティ失踪事件』(1926年)をベースに書き下ろしたオリジナルシナリオ。アニメでは、ゲスト 声優として香川照之と広末涼子が『鍵泥棒のメソッド』での役を演じ、コナンとの共演が 話題となった。
