これぞ究極のオシャレ
2006年にスタートしたDer SAMMLER（ディア・ザムラー）。
ブランド名の由来はドイツ語の「収集家」。
その名の通りデザイナーである寺本欣児氏が様々な国を巡る中で出会い収集してきた、希少なデッドストック生地や資材を主に使用したアイテムを展開している。
そのアイテムはどれもこれも芸術品のごとく完成度は高い。
このパンツのモチーフとなったのはロサンゼルス市警の囚人の作業ズボン。
もうコンセプトからバッキバキに尖っている。
使用した生地はネップの入ったインディゴデニム地。
ざっくり入ったネップが、ラフで絶妙。
ハリがあり丈夫だけど厚過ぎないからオールシーズン楽しめる。
特徴的なのはポケット。
本来のラプドパンツは別布のパッチポケットが前後に1か所ずつ。
左もものパッチポケットと、右側のバックポケット。
今見ると何とも新鮮！
ただ、当時はあくまでも経費を削減するために採用したデザイン。
面白いけれど、現代だと不便。
そんな訳でこのパンツにはフロントは両サイドに、バックは左側にそれぞれ本体と同生地でポケットを追加している。
パッチポケットはどれも大きめでクラシカルでワークな雰囲気満載。
しかもちゃんと使いやすい。
デザインやコンセプトを重視しがちだけど、実はとっても使いやすいパンツなのだ。
バックヨークにもストライプ地が使用されているのだが、ここだけ横使いなのも当時の事情を反映していてユニーク。
股上は深め。
シルエットは太めのストレート。
ステッチはオレンジで、フロントはボタンフライ。
パンチのあるモチーフに実用的な作りとディア・ザムラーならではの完成度。
これぞ究極のオシャレかもしれません。
