"Decrypto" is a team-based game where one player from each team acts as the clue-giver. Their goal is to convey a secret code to their teammates using associative hints like "seiza" (formal kneeling) or "bath bomb" without letting the opposing team guess it. Players also deduce the secret code by analyzing the opposing team's associative hints.
★ Recommended Features:
This game is enjoyable as you brainstorm associative hints that are "just far enough to be understood by teammates but not too obvious to the opponents," considering your teammates' knowledge. It's fun to consult with your teammates based on the information recorded on the sheets. You'll get excited when you think about the correspondence between the opposing team's numbers and keywords, and suddenly have a flash of insight like, "Hey, could this be about XX...?" leading to a response of, "Ah, that's definitely it! Genius!!" However, even with such brilliant insights, you might find yourselves lost in a maze of deduction if you're mistaken, creating drama that fully showcases adult vocabulary and abstract thinking. The retro analog computer-style components from before the advent of semiconductors are also a charming feature. It's incredibly fun and highly recommended for adults who enjoy a game that can be savored.
【Easy-to-Play Japanese Edition】
All 440 keywords on the cards have been translated into Japanese. Items from the original French version that were not familiar in Japan have been replaced with concepts that are similarly familiar and relevant in Japan.
【New Packaging】
We are now handling the new black packaging version from 2023. This is a new edition that completely revamps the keywords from the version we've carried since 2018 and includes a revised, easier-to-understand instruction manual. The card designs are the same, so expansion sets can be mixed in.
