グランドセイコー 5645-7010 歴史
1. 誕生の背景
発売時期：1970年頃～1974年頃
キャリバー56系は、1968年に登場したハイビート10振動（36,000振動/時）の61GSに続き、より薄型で実用性を重視したハイビート機として開発されたシリーズ。
5645は自動巻・ハイビート・デイト付きのキャリバーで、同時にデイデイト付きの5646も存在。

ケースはステンレス製、比較的シンプルで直線的なラグ形状。
ダイヤルはシルバー系が多く、バーインデックス＋ドルフィンハンドの典型的なGSスタイル。
風防は当時の定番であるドーム型強化ガラス。
裏蓋には金色の「獅子メダリオン」が装着される初期型と、後期のメダリオンなしフラット仕様が存在。
4. シリーズ内での位置づけ
56GSシリーズは、61GSの高級機路線に対して「量産性と実用性を兼ね備えたGS」として企画された。
当時、グランドセイコーの中では比較的手の届きやすいモデルで、日本国内で広く普及。
そのため、今日でもオリジナル個体が比較的多く残っている。
5. 製造終了と意義
56GSは1975年頃まで製造され、その後はグランドセイコー自体が一時休止期に入る。
「5645-7010」は、GSの歴史の中で「最後期の機械式GS」の一つとして位置付けられる重要なモデル。
この後、グランドセイコーは**クォーツ（95GS系）**の時代に移行していく。
