About DARIUS
A side-scrolling shooting game that debuted as an arcade game in 1986.
The game was notable at the time for its innovative cabinet mechanisms, such as a large cabinet with three screens connected and an audio system with low-frequency speakers built into the bench seat.
The boss characters, inspired by aquatic creatures such as coelacanths and sperm whales, are still popular today as a symbol of DARIUS.
In 2010, after 21 years since 『DARIUS II』, the dedicated arcade cabinet 『DARIUS BURST ANOTHER CHRONICLE』 was announced.
