Durability, Power, Rotation, Comfort

Large-diameter gear

In the 20 Saltiga, the monocoque body allows for larger and thicker gears, significantly increasing gear strength. The synergistic effect with the monocoque body, which is resistant to twisting and bending, has achieved more than double the durability compared to the 15 Saltiga.

Monocoque body

The monocoque body is an integrated molding where the engine plate, which also functions as a screw, is directly screwed into the body. Since it does not require screw holes to secure the body cover, the internal space of the body is wider than conventional structures, allowing for more powerful and larger gears to be housed.

Magshield ball bearing

By creating a magnetic liquid wall in the small gap of the ball bearing, which makes the rotating parts smooth, intrusion of seawater and debris is prevented. This has succeeded in waterproofing the rotating parts. In the 20 Saltiga, one is installed at each end of the drive gear, similar to the 15 Saltiga. This greatly improves waterproofness and durability, while maintaining the light and smooth winding feeling of the ball bearings.

Magshield line roller

The 20 Saltiga's line roller is also protected by Magshield technology. It prevents intrusion of salt spray and debris, contributing greatly to maintaining initial performance such as rotation feel and sensitivity. Additionally, the improved rotation of the line roller reduces problems like line twist.

Aluminum Air Rotor

The Aluminum Air Rotor of the 20 Saltiga has more than twice the bending rigidity compared to the Ion Rotor of the 15 Saltiga. Compared to the original Saltiga aluminum rotor, it achieves over 1.5 times the breaking strength.

Next-generation drag system

The 20 Saltiga adopts a new drag system. The number of washers, which was 6 in the 15 Saltiga, has been greatly increased to 14 in the 20 Saltiga. At the same time, a newly designed drag knob that does not use resin parts has been adopted, which easily releases heat generated by washers, significantly reducing washer sticking. This has achieved more than ten times the durability.

LC (Long Cast) - ABS
