In the 20 Saltiga, the monocoque body allows for larger and thicker gears, significantly increasing gear strength. The synergistic effect with the monocoque body, which is resistant to twisting and bending, has achieved more than double the durability compared to the 15 Saltiga.

Monocoque body


The monocoque body is an integrated structure where the engine plate, which also functions as a screw, is directly screwed into the body. This eliminates the need for screw holes to secure the body cover, resulting in a wider internal space and allowing for the storage of larger and more powerful gears.

Magshield ball bearings


By creating a magnetic liquid barrier in the small gaps of ball bearings that make rotation smooth, intrusion of seawater and debris is prevented. This successfully waterproofs the rotating parts. In the 20 Saltiga, each drive gear has one at both ends, similar to the 15 Saltiga, greatly enhancing waterproofness and durability, while maintaining the lightweight and smooth winding feel of the ball bearings.

Magshield line roller


The 20 Saltiga's line roller is also protected by Magshield technology. It prevents intrusion of salt spray and debris, contributing greatly to maintaining initial performance such as rotation feel and sensitivity. Additionally, the improved rotation of the line roller reduces problems like line twist.

Aluminum Air Rotor







The Aluminum Air Rotor of the 20 Saltiga has more than twice the bending stiffness compared to the Zylon rotor of the 15 Saltiga. Compared to the original Saltiga's aluminum rotor, it achieves over 1.5 times the breaking strength.

Next-generation drag system


The 20 Saltiga adopts a new drag system. The number of washers, which was 6 in the 15 Saltiga, has been greatly increased to 14 in the 20 Saltiga. At the same time, a newly designed drag knob that does not use resin parts has been adopted, which easily releases heat generated by washers, greatly reducing washer sticking and achieving more than ten times the durability.
