Large diameter gear

In the 20 Saltiga, the Monocoque Body allowed for larger and thicker gears, significantly increasing gear strength. In synergy with the Monocoque Body, which is resistant to twisting and deflection, durability has been more than doubled compared to the 15 Saltiga.


Monocoque Body

The Monocoque Body is a one-piece construction where the engine plate, which acts as a screw for the body, is directly screwed in. By eliminating the need for screw holes to secure the body cover, the internal space of the body is larger than in conventional structures, allowing for the storage of stronger and larger gears.


Magshield Ball Bearing

By creating a wall of magnetic fluid in the gaps of the small ball bearing components that smooth the rotating parts, the intrusion of seawater and foreign matter is prevented. This has achieved waterproofing of the rotating parts. In the 20 Saltiga, as with the 15 Saltiga, one Magshield Ball Bearing is installed on each end of the drive gear. This significantly improves waterproofing and durability, while also realizing the light and smooth reeling feel of the ball bearings.


Magshield Line Roller

In the 20 Saltiga, the line roller is also protected by Magshield technology. By preventing the intrusion of salt and foreign matter, it greatly contributes to maintaining initial performance such as rotational feel and sensitivity. Furthermore, improved line roller rotation reduces troubles such as line tangles.







Aluminum Air Rotor

The aluminum air rotor of the 20 Saltiga has more than double the rigidity against deflection compared to the Zion rotor of the 15 Saltiga. Compared to the aluminum rotor of the first generation Saltiga, it also achieves more than 1.5 times the breaking strength.


New generation drag system

The 20 Saltiga adopts a new drag system. The number of washers has been significantly increased from 6 in the 15 Saltiga to 14 in the 20 Saltiga. At the same time, a new drag knob that does not use resin parts has been adopted, making it easier to dissipate heat generated by the washers, greatly reducing washer seizure. Durability has been improved more than 10 times.


LC (Long Cast)-ABS

The spool edge, which has a two-step taper, appropriately suppresses line flutter and smoothly releases the line. This achieves trouble-free long casting.
