This shallow spool is for anglers who use light lines, such as those who want to use less line on the Daiwa 23 Saltiga for shore games, or those who want to use thinner lines to reduce the impact of currents.
Designed with shore use in mind, it features "backing line guides" on the 4000 and 5000 sizes for PE 1.5-200m, and on the 6000 size for PE 2-200m, allowing for smooth line winding of the 200m line commonly used for shore fishing.
The spool color is gold, creating a gorgeous look that complements the genuine reel.
It incorporates high-density carbon washers, similar to genuine parts, impregnated with high-performance, durable oil. This eliminates initial drag hesitation even at high drag settings, ensuring smooth drag performance (4000 size: 3 carbon washers, 5000/6000 sizes: 5 carbon washers built-in).
The LC-ABS system is adopted for excellent casting performance in both offshore and shore casting.
The Daiwa 23 Saltiga is designed for both shore and offshore game fishing. Changing lines on the spool for each fishing trip is environmentally undesirable.
