The action creates a "feeding pause" automatically with subtle changes in current, causing slides and wobbles, and inducing bites even under high pressure. For operation, slow, steady retrieves are sufficient, regardless of day or night. In highly pressured, competitive fields, the trick is to retrieve upstream rather than down-cross, imagining baitfish appearing diagonally in front of the seabass as they drift. It also allows for vertical presentations as it falls with a gentle, swaying motion in a horizontal posture.
