The LABRAX AGS concept is "Shinkan (sensation of vibration)." It emphasizes casting and sensitivity. The casting performance includes distance and accuracy, achieved through a sharp, slender blank that produces a quick, linear swing, and a high-speed flight that gives a refreshing feeling as the lure is drawn into the target spot. The sensitivity ensures that all signals—bottom contact, lure movement, water depth, water flow—are directly transmitted to the hand, focusing on what is truly important for catching seabass. The lightweight design significantly improves operability. This LABRAX AGS is a high-specification rod designed solely for seabass game, not just for casting and reeling, but for actively constructing seabass fishing strategies. The secret to nimble operation is a slender, sharp blank and a focused center of gravity.

The evolved blank achieves both lightness and power. Additionally, Daiwa's proprietary lightweight AGS (Air Guide System) places the rod's center of gravity near the hand. Holding the Air Sensor reel seat that fits snugly in the palm, a slight wrist movement causes the tip to move linearly. Because the tip is light and the swing feels effortless, fine operations can be performed at will. Water plug dog-walking and minnow jigging are particularly nimble.







Slim and sharp high-performance blank

Using a resilient, slim HVF Nanoplus blank with X45 winding at appropriate points maintains lightness while reducing power loss. Compared to previous models, it results in a clearly different blank with each cast. Also features an Awasemarker.

Lightweight, high-sensitivity AGS (Air Guide System) uses a carbon frame, which has about three times the rigidity of titanium, allowing it to transmit even the slightest signals directly to the blank without absorption. The lightweight carbon improves swing speed and reduces tip wobble, greatly enhancing casting distance and control performance.

X45


To prevent twisting during casting, action, hooking, and fighting, extensive research concluded that, in addition to conventional structures (0° and 90° angles relative to the rod tip), wrapping a bias cross (angled at 45° with carbon fibers) is appropriate. The inclusion of X45 prevents twisting, dramatically improving power, operability, and sensitivity.

AIR SENSOR SEAT


Made with carbon fiber in the air sensor seat, it achieves lightweight, high strength, and high sensitivity. Designed specifically for each rod's purpose, it offers operability that cannot be experienced with general reel seats.
