Explanation by manufacturer
A wide variation of 7 to 21 shaku, equipped with functions beyond class, a user-friendly hard-type tip action carp rod
Adopting the 'Kabu Theory' design, which realizes smooth bending point movement through a smooth curve of the joint, and robustly absorbs the hit of carp with a solid body, from shallow to deep, from chin to management fishing spots and wild fishing, a full-fledged specification of hard-type tip action that does not depend on fishing spot or method. The craftsmanship of each section, made by hand, features the high-end carp rod hallmark 'Fushi Dashi Dan Nuri'. An exquisite piece that can be used forever without getting tired of it.
DAIWA TECHNOLOGY
Kabu Theory
A design method that incorporates traditional Japanese rod know-how. "Each section of the rod is like a single rod, with a soft tip and a harder base." Analyzing this at a microscopic level and connecting it in a balanced way allows for smooth movement of the bending apex, a unique DAIWA design technology. A notable difference is that, unlike conventional rods where the bending apex moves significantly, in Kabu Theory it moves smoothly, preventing the fish from thrashing when hooked. Achieving the ideal balance required for carp rods.
V-Joint
To draw a beautiful curve with minimal distortion, DAIWA's original bias structure carbon sheet is used at the joint. This enables smooth bending at the joint and high-performance in power, response, and sensitivity. For delicate carp rods, the smooth bending of the joint greatly contributes to lifting power.
