Explanation by manufacturer
Daiwa's shore jigging rod launches as DRAGGER.
Dragger means "to pull strongly."
In extreme fights of shore jigging, rely on the rod and lift the fish with full power.
Challenge your limits and significantly enhance operability and power to catch record fish with the ultimate shore jigging rod "BREAK THROUGH."
After thorough field training, reached a new dimension that changes the concept of Daiwa's shore jigging rods. The answer is the 3-piece design.
Successfully fused high-level lure operability and lift performance.
Experience the evolution of rock shore rods in a single cast.
The 3-piece structure was developed through continuous field testing, refining every detail with testers to pursue perfection.
The blank, grip, and guide setting were all developed from zero, taking two years. How many prototypes and fishing trips did it take to create a single rod? The basic design that achieved two development concepts is a complex 3-piece structure combining a traditional and a stacked joint.
By making sections 1 and 2 with a traditional stacked structure, load transfer becomes smooth, enabling a tip with a sharp, crisp lure action. The tip, or "Hoso" (thin tip), allows natural, effortless operation of plugs and jigs.
Sections 2 and 3 adopt a stacked structure. The thicker base section provides robust power, enabling long casts and strong lift power. This successfully balances operability and power at a high level.
Specification details
1-2 V Joint α traditional stacked joint
The joint section with an ideal taper and very smooth connection creates a tip that feels like the lure is gliding through water. This greatly reduces missed dives of plugs and improves jig response, allowing free manipulation of the lure.
93XH-3 and 83XXH-3 are designed with all sections as stacked joints for strength.
2-3 V Joint α stacked joint
The butt section features a different design from the belly, equipped with high power. It boasts superior performance in fights, with excellent rigidity, greatly improving control during lure operation and casting.

Other details
Models 100MH-3, 910H-3, 100H-3, 100HH-3 are designed with sections #1 and #2 as traditional stacked joints, and #2 and #3 as stacked joints.
Models 93XH-3 and 83XXH-3 have all sections as stacked joints.
The 910H-3 emphasizes sensitivity and operability, with the guide on the tip section made of lightweight single-foot K guides. Be careful when casting with a large line system, as it may cause damage.
TECHNOLOGY
ESS Expert Sense Simulation
The Sensory Domain Design System 'ESS' detects the energy that causes the rod to try to straighten itself when bent, called restoring force. This is strain energy from the deformed blank trying to return to its original shape, a crucial factor influencing rod performance. Daiwa developed a system to analyze and design this strain energy, clearly understanding what is excellent and what is lacking numerically, and reflecting expert sensibility into the rod. This innovative rod design system 'ESS' creates rods that surpass the ideal.
X45 Full Shield X45 Cobra Shield
The X45 Full Shield thoroughly eliminates twisting during dynamic actions like casting, action, hooking, and fighting. It tightens the outermost layer with 45-degree carbon bias cross from the tip, where twisting is most likely to occur, greatly improving torsional rigidity. This enhances casting accuracy and brings out the rod's inherent performance.
V-JOINT α V-Joint Alpha
Using high-strength materials including Nanplus and Daiwa's proprietary ultra-high precision rod design and manufacturing technology, the V-JOINT becomes even stronger, lighter, and more beautiful.
HVF NANOPLUS High-Volume Fiber Nanplus
By reducing resin and increasing the density of carbon fibers, high-density HVF carbon is suitable for rods emphasizing toughness and strength. Combining Toray's NanoAlloy R technology with Daiwa's proprietary manufacturing methods further enhances strength and reduces weight.
