Magshield

Daiwa's unique waterproof structure that creates a magnetic oil wall between the body and rotor to block intrusion of seawater, dust, etc. The body and rotor are contactless, maintaining smooth rotation and initial performance over a long period. Many causes of rotational noise are salt gumming and foreign object intrusion. Except for cases where water is accidentally dropped, the rotation noise occurrence rate of magshielded reels is significantly reduced. Moreover, this ratio tends to show a greater difference as time passes, indicating that the longer used, the more effective it becomes. This proves that the dustproof and waterproof capabilities of magshield are at a very high level.

Air Rotor

An air rotor with a structure that can be called a revolution of rotors. Its unique rim structure disperses load, achieving significant weight reduction while maintaining the same strength as conventional models. Rotor balance is also improved, resulting in responsive rotation.
