Mag Shield

Daiwa's unique waterproof structure that creates a magnetic oil wall between the body and rotor to block intrusion of seawater, dust, etc. Since the body and rotor are contactless, it maintains light, smooth rotation and preserves initial rotational performance over a long period. Many causes of rotational noise are salt gumming and foreign matter intrusion. Except for cases where water is accidentally dropped, the rotation noise occurrence rate of reels with Mag Shield is significantly reduced.
