The SF (Super Finesse) Concept – A design philosophy for spinning reels that enables millimeter-precise control in a realm far beyond existing finesse. Why did we at Daiwa choose the flagship small spinning reel, "EXIST," for this new challenge? Daiwa does not seek peace in its flagships. We do not settle. We always want to be at the forefront of the fishing scene. To put it without fear of misunderstanding, the EXIST SF is not an "all-rounder." While inheriting the EXIST philosophy, it disregards convention. It's not about versatility, but a breakthrough in one area. The goal was Super Finesse, surpassing Finesse. While maintaining EXIST's fundamental performance such as Air Drive Design, Full Metal (Mg) Monocoque Body, and Magsealed, it has been tuned to the absolute limit. By narrowing the target to bass, trout, and light salt using lines of 4lb (fluorocarbon/nylon) or 0.6号 (PE) or less, it has been thoroughly made compact and lightweight. To achieve this, a certain level of durability and waterproofness has been sacrificed, but the reward is a realm no one has entered before. Beyond the limits of current finesse, the "operability" where lures trace the trajectory exactly as imagined will bring about intimate one-on-one time with the fish. The weight, reduced to the bare minimum, contributes to casting distance and accuracy by enabling a smooth casting motion without excessive force. The compact body, which fits in the palm of your hand, allows for delicate feathering, promising precise approaches. Differences between EXIST SF and EXIST LT:

⇒ By shortening the spool, variations in resistance during line release are suppressed.
⇒ Furthermore, by changing the maximum drag force to 3kg, the adjustment range in the low drag area, which is important in finesse fishing, is widened, allowing for more optimal fine-tuning of the drag.

■ Casting Distance / Swing Speed Approx. 7% / Approx. 12% UP
⇒ With the combination of the ultra-lightweight tackle of EXIST SF2500SS and STEEZ RC61L-SV, the swing speed is approximately 12% higher compared to existing tackle.
