Full metal (AL material) monocoque body equipped. Covers saltwater lure game.

The new standard for saltwater spinning reels debuts. Features a full metal (AL) monocoque body with a large-diameter tough digital gear, enabling powerful and smooth winding. With 9 models ranging from size 4000 to 18000, covering light shore casting, SLJ, yellowtail casting, big game like tuna casting, and saltwater lure games.

Full metal (AL material) monocoque body

Traditional spinning reels support the drive gear at both ends with a body and body cover fixed by several screws. To improve accuracy and rigidity, the body cover was eliminated, and a high-precision plate was directly screwed into the body, creating a monocoque body. This increases gear support accuracy, rigidity, and airtightness. It also utilizes space previously taken by screws to enlarge the drive gear. "Monocoque" means "mono (single) shell." Its new shape, symbolizing the strength of a shell of a clam, breaks conventional reel structure norms. In CALDIA SW, considering lightweight and sufficient rigidity, a balanced design targeting each reel size is achieved.

Magshield

Creates a magnetic oil barrier between the body and rotor to block seawater, dust, and other intrusions, providing waterproof structure. Since the body and rotor are contactless, rotation remains smooth and lightweight, maintaining initial performance over a long period.


Full metal (AL material) monocoque body

Aiming for higher precision and rigidity, the body cover was eliminated, and a high-precision plate was directly screwed into the body, forming a monocoque body. This enhances gear support accuracy and improves rigidity and airtightness.


ATD (Automatic Drag System)

Controls drag force following the fish's pull, preventing the fish from gaining the lead. To utilize this feature, a loose drag setting is effective. During hooking, it applies strong drag, but always maintains drag against the fish's pull, allowing landing without excessive thrashing even for large fish.


Tough Digigear
