Full metal (AL) monocoque body

Traditional spinning reels support the drive gear at both ends with a body and body cover fixed by several screws. To improve accuracy and rigidity, the monocoque body eliminates the body cover and fixes a high-precision plate directly to the body with screws. This increases gear support accuracy and enhances rigidity and airtightness. It also utilizes space previously taken by screws to enlarge the drive gear. Monocoque (mono: one, coque: shell) symbolizes the strength of a shell, like that of a clam, breaking conventional reel structure. In CALDIA SW, this sufficient rigidity is balanced with lightweight considerations, targeting each reel size for optimal balance.

Mag Shield

Creates a magnetic oil barrier between the body and rotor to block seawater, dust, and other intrusion, providing waterproof structure. Since the body and rotor are contactless, smooth rotation and initial performance are maintained over long periods.


Full metal (AL) monocoque body

Aiming for higher precision and rigidity, the monocoque body removes the body cover and fixes a high-precision plate directly to the body with screws, increasing gear support accuracy and rigidity.


ATD

Controls drag force in response to fish pulling, preventing the fish from gaining the upper hand. Using a loose drag setting is effective to utilize this feature. During hooking, it applies strong drag, but always maintains drag against the fish's pull, allowing landing without excessive thrashing even for large fish.
