DAIWA TECHNOLOGY

MEGATOP Mega Top

Mega Top is made of a carbon solid where fibers and resin are evenly dispersed, showing similar bending in all directions. Its strength is significantly higher than normal carbon solids, allowing for a thin, flexible, high-taper tip. The sensitivity characteristic of carbon material, which resonates in the hand, is greatly improved, as is the visual sensitivity in the tip.

X45

Twist prevention suitable for "45". An optimal structure for twist prevention that brings revolution to power and operability. By wrapping DAIWA's original bias cross (carbon fibers inclined at 45°) onto the conventional structure (0°, 90° to the rod tip), it prevents twisting and dramatically improves power, operability, and sensitivity. Named "X45" for the strongest twist resistance "45" X structure. "X Torque" has been renamed "X45" as a worldwide trademark.

HVF High-Volume Fiber

In the carbon sheet that most influences rod performance, DAIWA focuses not only on increasing the elasticity of the carbon fibers themselves but also on the amount of resin (adhesive) that binds the carbon fibers. By reducing the excess resin and increasing the density of carbon fibers, the "High-Density HVF Carbon" becomes more muscular and powerful. It is suitable for rods emphasizing toughness and strength.

Equipped with new lightweight carbon resin guide (C/TC-IMSG)

Equipped with FUJI-made lightweight carbon reinforced resin frame IM guides used in Air Evolution. This results in faster tip convergence and improved operability.

High-cost performance rod equipped with the latest features

Adopts high-density HVF carbon that reduces resin amount and densely packs more carbon fibers, balancing lightness and power. This creates a strongly bent, resilient blank. By installing FUJI-made lightweight carbon reinforced resin frame IM guides at the top (up to fixed number 2), it achieves nimble operation and reduces line trouble thanks to the IM guide shape (excluding long-distance casting). Once a fish is hooked, the power of X45 allows for quick surfacing.

The screw-type reel seat securely fixes large reels without wobbling. It is designed to be durable enough for yellowtail and red sea bream, and also reliable for unexpected large bluefish.
