This is achieved through ATD, Synchronized Level Wind, and the newly introduced "Electronic Drag Sound" in hand-crank IC reels. "Electronic Drag Sound" detects spool rotation and conveys drag operation via "electronic sound." By adopting this feature, the physical resistance of the mechanical drag click structure is eliminated, enabling smoother, high-performance drag beyond conventional structures. HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR

A new gear system designed for bait (dual-axis) reels that pursues strong, smooth rotation. The gear module (size) of the gear teeth, which directly affects durability, is kept small to improve mesh ratio, ensuring long-lasting initial smoothness. This is Daiwa's proprietary technology.


HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT

A drive support system that achieves sustained smoothness and strong, lightweight winding. By supporting both ends of the pinion gear with two high-precision ball bearings, it reduces input from the handle without attenuation, allowing powerful and light winding even under load.


HYPER ARMED HOUSING AL)

A housing system that supports internal structure with high rigidity and high precision, producing delicate winding feel and power. Using metal materials for the frame is essential, and combined with side plates and set plates, it allows the basic performance to be maintained over a longer period. Electronic Drag Sound

"Smoother. Next-generation light jigging reel with high-performance drag." "Electronic Drag Sound" detects spool rotation and conveys drag operation via "electronic sound." Traditional mechanical drag click structures play an important role in informing anglers of drag operation. However, the ratchet structure and sound pin inside the drive gear that produce sound generate physical resistance during line retrieval. Removing this mechanical structure and installing "Electronic Drag Sound" allows for both smooth drag performance and more audible drag sounds. The graph below compares the resistance during drag retrieval between the TIERRA LJ IC and conventional reels with drag click mechanisms. The TIERRA LJ IC significantly reduces this resistance, enabling smoother, high-performance drag. The powerful 10kg max drag operates smoothly, reducing line loss and aiding in handling large fish.

Synchronized Level Wind

"Significantly enhances drag performance." Synchronized Level Wind is a mechanism where the level wind follows the line position and moves left and right in sync. This function is effective when line is being pulled from the spool. Why is this mechanism necessary? It is an important feature to focus on the fight with fish and dramatically improve drag performance. During sudden, powerful runs such as bluefish fights, the synchronized movement supports smooth drag operation by preventing line from being pulled out. Additionally, it reduces the line release angle between the spool and level wind, decreasing friction resistance. Even with thin PE lines, anglers can concentrate on fighting without worrying about line breakage.


Mechanical brake knob quick type

"Instantly adjustable mechanical brake knob." A mechanical brake knob that allows quick "quick" setting. It can change settings with fewer knob rotations than usual. This enables rapid adjustments for light undercasts and jig drops.
