The goal of TIERRA LJ IC was to provide anglers with a jigging reel equipped with overwhelming drag and winding performance. The drag force marks "MAX 10kg," offering the highest level of power in its class. Additionally, efforts were made not only to enhance drag strength but also to make the drag operate more smoothly. This was achieved through ATD, Synchro Level Wind, and the newly introduced "Electronic Drag Sound" in hand-crank IC reels. "Electronic Drag Sound" detects spool rotation and conveys drag operation via "electronic sound." By adopting this feature, the physical resistance of the mechanical drag click structure was eliminated, enabling smoother, high-performance drag beyond conventional structures. The powerful 10kg drag continues to operate smoothly. Furthermore, the basic performance was refined with "HYPERDRIVE DESIGN," following the design of SALTIGA IC 300. It provides high winding performance suitable for turbulent areas and using 300g class jigs, capable of facing large bluefish.

Electronic Drag Sound

"Smoother. Next-generation light jigging reel with high-performance drag." "Electronic Drag Sound" detects spool rotation and conveys drag operation via "electronic sound." The traditional mechanical drag click structure plays an important role in informing the angler of drag operation. However, the ratchet structure inside the drive gear and the sound-emitting pin structure generated physical resistance during line retrieval. Removing this mechanical structure and installing "Electronic Drag Sound" allows for both smooth drag performance and more audible drag sounds.

This function is effective when line is being pulled from the spool. Why is this mechanism necessary? To focus on interactions with fish and dramatically improve drag performance. During sudden pulls from fish like bluefish, it supports smooth drag operation by coordinating with the line being pulled. Additionally, it reduces the line release angle between the spool and level wind, decreasing friction resistance. Even with thin PE lines, anglers can focus on fighting without worrying about line breakage.
