An ultra-lightweight compact IC reel that eliminates line trouble has appeared. The body is made of ZAION frame and side plates to ensure rigidity, and the rotational performance has been refined with HYPERDRIVE DESIGN. Additionally, it adopts a spool shape designed to prevent line gumming, assuming the use of fine PE lines. It reduces line gumming, a nemesis of IC reels. TIERRA AIR IC, when combined with lightweight models like Emeraldas and Gekka Bijin rods, achieves a total weight in the early 200g range. In squid metal and Batcon applications, this lightness greatly improves sensitivity and operability, allowing focus on interactions with fish.

HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR

A gear system designed for baitcasting reels that pursues strong, smooth rotation. The gear tooth module (size), which directly affects durability, is not reduced to increase mesh ratio, achieving prolonged initial smoothness through DAIWA's proprietary technology.


HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT

A drive support system that maintains smoothness and achieves strong, lightweight winding. By supporting both ends of the pinion gear with two ball bearings with high precision, input from the handle is not dampened, enabling powerful and light winding even under load.


HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH

A clutch system with sharp on/off performance that continues to slide thousands or tens of thousands of times, and is highly trouble-free even in seawater with high salinity. Line gum reduction spool

ZAION

A carbon resin woven with high-density carbon fibers, lightweight, strong, and highly resistant to corrosion. Self-replaceable battery

Battery can be replaced immediately. Equipped with a waterproof battery cover that is resistant to scratches and other damage. No special tools needed; can be opened and closed instantly with a coin, allowing self-replacement of the battery. Also, removing the battery does not require re-inputting the line (CR2032 coin battery).
