The STEEZ bait reel lineup includes spool diameters in 2mm increments.

A versatile model that fills the long-standing gap of Φ32mm hole in the center.

The third generation STEEZ SV TW equipped with a φ32mm SV BOOST spool is a masterpiece completing next-generation baitcasting strategies.

This third generation does not have a zero adjuster (formerly mechanical brake). Already in the second generation 16STEEZ, DAIWA reels used only the MAGFORCE dial for brake adjustment. The third generation has removed the mechanism formerly called mechanical brake, transforming into a sub-brake-less structure.

Installed with HYPERDRIVE DESIGN, which governs winding and durability, in its high-rigidity and compact housing. Casting performance has been significantly improved, with G1 Duralumin φ32mm SV BOOST spool, TWS, and sub-brake-less mechanisms conforming to DAIWA's long-pursued and finally completed casting design philosophy, ULTIMATECASTING DESIGN.

TWS

Aimed at expanding the line release resistance during casting, i.e., the resistance-free range, and introduced the unique technology TWS.

DAIWA adopts appropriate TWS for each spool size. The 24STEEZ SV TW100 was developed as a dedicated TWS (left photo) for this spool size.

Although the opening width of the TWS equipped on the 16STEEZ SV TW (right photo) is narrower, the development of a tapered shape has expanded the opening by 27% compared to conventional models. This, along with the surface treatment DLC, maximizes line release performance and expands the resistance-free range.


G1 Duralumin spool

Made from G1 Duralumin, a special aluminum alloy that exhibits twice the strength of magnesium and 1.3 times that of duralumin. Its lightweight and excellent rigidity make it suitable for aerospace structures and precision equipment, classified as a lightweight alloy.

To maintain the same strength, the spool's winding surface is only thinned without boring, allowing for ample strength. The lightweight design results in high responsiveness and precise rotation, which is outstanding.


Zero shaft

The spool is supported only by BB bearings. Removing the shaft eliminates unnecessary resistance, achieving an ideal spool rotation.

This is a high-power engine optimized for casting performance.







Oil injection cap

Replaces the zero adjuster with an oil injection cap. It is a sub-brake-less design.

Using the included special tool, the cap can be removed for oiling and maintenance of the pinion ball bearing.


Star drag

Equipped with a star drag (right photo) for improved operability. The star drag shape has been made thinner than the conventional (left photo). The ratchet structure has also been redesigned, with attention to the adjustment click sound, achieving a finely tuned, crisp click sound during adjustment.


Drag pull click

Aiming for high drag performance to catch big fish, the smooth operation not only in drag but also in following the fish's pull is designed to be class No. 1.

Additionally equipped with a drag pull click. It alerts the angler to sudden fish surges through sound, providing a significant advantage in line system battles.

HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR

A newly designed gear system in bait (dual-axis) reels that pursues strong, smooth rotation. The gear module (size) directly related to durability is not reduced, achieving better meshing and long-lasting initial smoothness, a proprietary DAIWA technology.


HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT

A drive support system that maintains smoothness and achieves strong, lightweight winding. Supports both ends of the pinion gear with two high-precision ball bearings, reducing input from the handle and enabling powerful, light winding even under load.


HYPER ARMED HOUSING AL

A housing system that internally supports the structure with high rigidity and high precision, producing a refined winding feel and power. Using metal materials for the frame is essential, and in combination with side plates and set plates, it maintains basic performance over a long period. In this series, the frame and gear side side plates are made of aluminum alloy, making it a tough housing suitable for power games.


HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH
